ANTIQUE 1920-30'S AMERICAN CAPITAL SILVER METAL CLARINET IN ORIGINAL CASE!

Our apologies for ending the previous listing of this item...it had an incorrect reference at the end of the listing that did not apply. Nice estate collectors clarinet...JW Jenkins was located in Kansas City, MO, with the original company founded as J.W.Jenkins Co., and succeeded by J.W. Jenkins Sons. (John Woodward Jenkins died in 1890) The company was an all-around retailer of anything musical including violins, and novelty instruments, such as the Frisco slide whistle. In the 20's and 30's they imported Bohland and Fuchs which the put under the Trade Name of Harwood. American Capital instruments were imports and were sold by Jenkins. According to a catalog from the 1930s, Jenkins sold a variety of brands, including Karl Schubert, American Capital, Bohland and Fuchs, Pan American (and Cavalier). This is the most information I can find on Capital instruments. This is a fine, silver metal clarinet in it's original case. No dents or breaks...no repairs. Appears to be in fine condition, but not my area of expertise although I am sure it will require repadding. Nice etching on the bell...the word Capital is the only printing. Appears to be silver on brass...but again, not my area of expertise. Should polish up beautifully. Case measures in at at 22 & 3/4'' long and 4 & 1/4'' wide, with the clarinet measuring 25 & 3/4'' long with the mouthpiece in place. Music holder included, and is marked A. P. & M. Co. Ask questions if you have them...will be carefully packed an
