 For Your Consideration:
1 Continental Tenor Saxophone.  This one was built by Yanagisawa before they put their name on their saxophones.  Those of us in the saxophone world call it stenciling.  This horn was played for 2 years back in the early 70's and then put in a closet.  I found it at an estate sale and saw the horns beautiful condition and decided to rebuild the horn.  It sports all new pads, but the re-pad goes way beyond that.  Here is what was done:
Complete ultra-sonic cleaning
Tone holes leveled
Posts re-aligned
Rods and keys straightened
Key cups straightened on a jeweler's anvil
all new Krause pads floated in on shellac
re-assembled and regulated
This horn gave me a big suprise, it plays way better than I expected.  I have heard the early Yanagisawas were not as good as the new ones.  That is dead wrong!!   This is one of the best horns I have sold, and I have sold over 250 here on ebay.  I would estimate the lacquer condition at about 95 percent with no dents and only 1 re-solder on the post that horns low Bb.  It fell off during cleaning and was resoldered.  This horn is ready to go and will need nothing, and won't for a long time. It comes with its stock case, a Yamaha 4C mouthpiece and a neotec strap.  This would make a great step up instrument for an advancing student or a great pro horn on a budget.  I would not hesitate to play gigs with this horn.  My Cannonball vintage is sli
