Beaugnier, Paris Vito Tenor Saxophone, s/n 25xxA, REAL pearl buttons, restored by the Selmer Authorized Dealer, Selmer Paris George M. Bundy, Size 3 Mouthpiece (these are hot), Mute, SUPERB playing condition! This heavy-metal horn has a surprisingly great sound; Vito is engraved on the bell, and the G# key (see photos).

I have had a number of these horns in the collection over the years, but none of them ever played or sounded like this one! The sound with the enclosed Selmer Paris George M. Bundy 3 Mouthpiece and La Voz Medium reed is awesome! This horn sounds like, believe it or not, a Selmer Mark VI when you start to push it: and the more you push it, the more it sounds like a VI! (I played the Selmer Mark VI exclusively from 1981 - 1985, so I am very familiar with its properties.) Both the Selmer dealer and I were in shock... What a pleasant surprise, though! This horn's restoration included:

Resoldered body key guard anchor & low c anchor, removed all keys, removed and replaced bow guard, play conditioned dent in bell bow, straightened main body, reworked tone holes high c, b, big b-flat, a, b-c trill, side b-flat, g, g#, f, low c, e-flat & c#, play conditioned dents in bell, reassembled keys, leveled pad cups all except palm f, e, d, adjusted upper & lower stacks and table b & b-flat, play and leak checked.

I certainly expected this Beaugnier, Paris horn to play well after it was restored, but not
