VINTAGE CONN CLARINET
Up for bid is this vintage C.G. Conn Pan-American clarinet produced in the late 1940s. The clarinet is made of a laminate wood, referred to as ''propeller wood''. It is similar in appearance to rosewood and is said to have a desirable tone. Serial number is 140654. The clarinet measures 23 1/2'' long. It is missing the mouthpiece. The condition of the wood is very good. I notice no cracks, chips or repairs. The plated hardware does have light corrosion and could use a polishing. Also, some of the pads are degraded and need replacement. The cork at the joints may also need replacement. It comes with the case which is in fair condition. One latch doesn't work and the leather handle has broken off.
Please email me with any questions before bidding as items are vintage and sold as is. Payment must be received within 7 days after close of auction. Insured US shipping is $17. International shipping at cost. Items shipped to California must include 9.25% sales tax. This is a no reserve auction!
