The Martin Committee II
Lion Crown Tenor Saxophone
You are bidding on a very desirable Lion Crown Martin Committee tenor Saxophone. You are correct you never see a Martin look as good as this one. Some of you may know that these vintage Martin saxophones had a poor lacquer formula that didn't last. So, it's not unusual to find them relacquered and this is one is fantastic. Crisp engraving...not over polished (see pictures). I can't find a blemish on it. No dents dings or distortions either. The thumb rest is adjustable and moves and locks freely. The rods and hing rods have been cleaned and oiled. The pads look new with brown plastic resonators. Also, I don't believe the neck is original however you can't tell by it's
