Heckel VCD (Z) 1 Bassoon Bocal/Crook
This woodwind is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-08-28)
Price : US $442.00
Up for auction is a Heckel Biebrich VCD 1 bassoon bocal/crook. The metal is the hard nickel silver alloy (Z). This is by far one of the very best VCD bocals I have played. Most of the time with my 8k Heckel I have problems with the 1st finger E falling with post war bocals. THIS ONE DOESNT!! The only reason why I can figure is that the seam was not soldered well when manufactured and had split when it arrived here in the US. Marvin Krantz did a fantastic job repairing it. The bocal is in great condition overall, the nickel plating looks good, and was taken very good care of. The sound is very open and focused, plays like a good prewar CC1 bocal, without the prewar price tag. I am a bassoonist, and a bassoon technician so my business relies on honesty, and customer satisfaction. Please take the time to look at the photos carefully, and ask any questions you may have. Bouyer to pay all shipping, handling, and insurance fees. Thanks for looking at my auction, and Good Luck!!
